Foundation
You can support the Cheyenne Guitar Society by donating to “The Guitar Music Series Foundation” with Laramie County Community College (LCCC). This foundation will be used to bring quality guitar music to our community. We are well underway to achieving our goal of a self sustaining fund to support these concerts.
Voluntary contributions are welcome and are tax deductible. The interest earned on this account can be used indefinitely to fund annual concerts. We are very excited about this project and appreciate suggestions, thoughts and donations as we proceed in this endeavor.
Donations are accepted at LCCC online or by contacting Russ Williams, the Cheyenne Guitar Society Foundation Director.
For more information and to donate via mail, download the Foundation Brochure.
Membership
We meet monthly and our meetings are usually held at the Laramie County Library 1st Floor Cottonwood Room from 6:00pm to 8:45 PM. The meetings begin with announcements of upcoming music events, followed by music presented in a round robin style by those attending. Anyone who brings something prepared, plays it for the group. We go around the circle until we have to leave !
Our group shares a variety of guitar styles including classical, folk, rock and roll, jazz, bluegrass, swing and more. At any meeting you will find all levels of musicians represented – from beginner to professional. Feel free to join us and play or just listen.
For those wishing to join the Guitar Society and help us with our goals, membership dues are $25/year. Among the benefits of membership are price breaks on concerts, chances to win raffles, meeting and sharing time and talent with other musicians.
